What you need to know before you apply for the program…
What is the Transformer Program?
The Transformer Program is a 90-Day rapid weight-loss program combined with an education in nutrition. You consume anywhere from 800-1000 calories a day.
You follow a high-protein, low-calorie diet while you also take lessons in nutrition so you learn how to make smarter choices over time. There are weekly group calls where you can ask anything you like, learn about different subjects and participate in conversations.
The whole program is designed to help you get leaner, stronger, and develop healthier habits by educating you about nutrition, exercise, and behavior change.
The Transformer Program is much more than a diet: it’s an education and a lifestyle change.
Coaching includes help with The Preparation Phase, The Diet Phase (P2), The Transition Phase (P3), and The Maintenance Phase. We do this so you can slowly transition back to ‘real life’ when the diet is over, with a customized plan so you don’t gain all the weight back.
Can I do P2, the diet phase, on my own and P3, the transition phase, with you?
Unfortunately, no. We need to spend at least 3 weeks together in P2. We do P2 together so we can set you up for a successful transition to real life by learning about habit change, how to count macros, and reintroducing new foods and exercise.
What if I already started dieting - can I still join?
It is best to have everyone starts the diet phase at the same time. However, if you already know how to track macros you can join us. We do have one condition though: we need to spend at least 3 weeks with you on P2 (the diet phase) using our protocol, and counting macros.
If you don’t know how to count macros, please take our Eat For Your Goals course and do the 5-Day Challenge before the Transformer Program starts. This is to ensure you will be successful with P3, the transition phase from the low-calorie diet to real life.
How is your protocol different?
We offer a higher-calorie, no off-limits foods approach. You can also continue to exercise if you like (with some conditions). People report having far more energy and less side effects (such as muscle cramps and headaches) compared to the Simeons Protocol or other very-low-calorie diets.
Can I use homeopathic drops?
Yes, if you like. We don’t feel they are needed though.
How long is the diet phase?
Most people do the low-calorie diet phase over 8 weeks, but this varies. You can finish the diet phase whenever you like. We let people do 3 weeks to 3 months as long as they feel good and their doctor approves a longer round. People have different amounts of weight that they want to lose, and we treat everyone’s journey as unique.
What are some realistic expectations for someone who has never done a low-calorie before?
Expect the diet to be harder than you think, but the weight loss will be faster than you’ve ever imagined. The first week is the hardest as people go into ketosis.
What makes you an expert?
I have coached hundreds of clients in my protocol and personally lost 27 pounds on it (roughly 0.5 pounds a day). I was able to exercise, eat a variety of foods, and consume about 1000-1100 calories a day.
I’m an ACE-certified health coach with a specialty in weight management. I’m also a nutritionist and I have published research on the effects of rapid weight loss on muscle mass. My coaches are also certified nutrition coaches and personal trainers.
Who is your typical client?
Women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who have done multiple diets only to have the weight come back on.
How much does it cost?
The Transformer is $1499, one-time payment. If you wish to pay monthly, the cost is $599 per month x 3 months.
Do you offer refunds?
Please read our refund policy here. https://www.adelefrizzell.com/program-policies/
Is private coaching available?
Actually, this is a hybrid program with private coaching. Your diet plan is personalized to you, along with weekly checkins and coaching support. The only group aspect is the weekly group calls where we cover different topics and focus on a lot of mindset stuff. The group calls are extremely valuable and you can listen to the replays if you can’t make it.
Private coaching calls are available on a very limited basis but rarely needed (1% of cases) because the program is so thorough.
Can I do this program while I'm on the Simeons Protocol?
No. This is for health reasons. Many clients have reported losing their hair, losing their energy, feeling cold, and having leg cramps and headaches from the Simeon’s 500-calorie Protocol.
We actually recommend using our higher-calorie, muscle-sparing protocol. It is just as effective for those who are interested in rapid fat loss and you’ll probably feel better! Plus there are fewer health risks and issues such as leg cramping, hair loss and more.
I'm a vegetarian. Can I do the Transformer Program?
- egg whites
- dairy
- fish
How tech savvy do I have to be?
Coaching is done via Zoom, so you will need a video camera and microphone on your tablet or computer. You’ll also need to be able to open and send email attachments, and upate a simple spreadsheet with your weight and macros each week. You’ll also need to download an app called MyFitnessPal to your phone so you can track your food.
Other Questions about the Transformer HCG Program
Can I really eat anything?
Yes. One of our sayings is, “No Bad Foods”. We’ve had people eat sweet potato while dieting, or fruit. And they still lose weight as long as they follow their macros.
Can I exercise while doing the program?
Yes, but you may have to dial back the intensity or frequency, and we don’t recommend starting a vigorous new exercise program while on P2, the Diet Phase. Daily walking and weight training 2-3x a week is ideal. Running is not recommended as it could lead to muscle loss and hunger spikes when you’re in such a big calorie deficit. Feel free to ask us for more information if you have any questions about this.
Can I get more coaching after the program ends?
Yes, many of our Transformer Grads enroll in The NEW You Program afterward. For details, visit https://www.thenewyouprogram.com
How much weight can I expect to lose?
On average, you can expect to lose about a quarter to half a pound a day. Most women can lose about 10-20 pounds in a month on P2 and a bit more during P3. Leaner individuals and those with PCOS or hypothyroidism may lose less.
It really depends on how much you have to lose and how accurate and consistent you are with following the protocol; We’ve had clients lose 6 pounds in 2 months and others lose 40 in 2 months.
It’s important to note that any diet should be focused on fat loss, not weight loss. The #1 goal is preserve as much muscle as possible so your metabolism doesn’t slow down. Your clothes should start fitting better right away.
*We cannot guarantee specific results for clients. Fat loss and muscle gain will vary with each individual. Influencing factors include age, gender, health conditions, hormone function, activity levels, stress, quality of sleep, body fat percentage, accuracy in tracking, exercise type, and commitment to coaching and following instructions.
Will you coach me through P2 and P3?
Yes, we will coach through all phases of the diet and into maintenance.
We’ll also give you a plan when the program ends, so you know just what to do to maintain your weight loss.
Do you accept HSA/FSA?
Yes, we can accept HSA/FSA payments for our coaching programs if your physician has prescribed this program as treatment for a specific disease such as obesity, hypertension, or heart disease. You may need to get a letter of approval and we are happy to provide you with one upon request. Please contact support@AdeleFrizzell.com for further information.
Once I came off the diet, I regained the weight. How can working with you help prevent that from happening again?
If you don’t have a plan for when the diet ends you’ll be right back where you started.
The fact is diets do work, in the short-term. But what happens when the diet ends? You’re back to where you started! Why? Because you haven’t changed the habits that caused you to gain weight in the first place. You’re set up to fail from the beginning! It’s not your fault, and this is why so many people struggle with yo-yo dieting and end up doing multiple rounds of HCG.
A diet isn’t a lifestyle. You can’t deny yourself the foods you enjoy forever. Eventually, you need to go back to real life and eat like a normal human being. This is when most people run into problems. They don’t know how to eat at a restaurant. How to eat on the go. How to still indulge in treats without gaining weight. We can teach you how to eat in a way that fuels your activities, food preferences, and lifestyle.
Until you learn how to eat in a way that is enjoyable, sustainable, and healthy, you’re going to stay trapped in the same vicious loop of losing and gaining weight. You don’t have to accept that this is the body you will be stuck in for the rest of your life. If you want to change it, you can. You just need to find the right combination of nutrition, activity, and habits for YOUR body.
Does part of the coaching tell me exactly what to eat each day, beyond macros? i.e. salad for lunch, soup for dinner?
While meal plans make it easy to follow – you just shop for groceries and prepare food accordingly, they don’t really teach you how to eat in the long run. What happens when you don’t have a plan to follow anymore? When you go out to dinner? Vacation?
It takes a bit more work to figure out how to eat in a way that is normal, enjoyable, and sustainable for you but it is worth the investment. This is because the more your diet resembles real life, the easier it will be to do “real life” when the diet ends.
